Whether or not you're using built-in payments, there is still a place to provide digital payment instructions to your clients! These instructions can be useful to let them know what payment types you accept.

Setting up custom payment instructions in Spectora’s client portal allows you to personalize how clients see and handle payments. This guide walks you through customizing instructions, including adding details like QR codes for external payment platforms such as Zelle or Venmo.

With these steps, you can provide a seamless payment experience tailored to your clients' preferences.


How to Customize Your Payment Instructions

Editing and customizing your payment instructions is easy - just a few quick steps! Check out the steps below to see how you can customize these instructions.

  1. Click "Settings"

  2. Click "Payments"

  3. Edit your payment instructions in the "Client payment instructions" box

And you're done! The instructions box will auto-save your newly customized info.

How Customized Payment Instructions Show in the Client Portal

Now that you've customized your payment instructions, your client will be able to see the new instructions in the portal.

  • In the Client Portal, your clients are prompted to pay for their services as a step to complete on their Dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I use Zelle/Venmo/CashApp and want to make my QR code available to my clients so they can pay through that app. Can I do that?

    • You sure can! You can copy and paste your QR code in the instructions box or simply enter your Zelle/Venmo/CashApp in there so clients can search for you.

  • My client decided they wanted to pay outside of Spectora. How do I make the inspection show as paid?

  • I don't offer payment options outside of Spectora. Do I have to customize the instructions?

    • Nope! You can leave it as is with the pre-filled info that shows the balance due.

  • I want to add my custom instructions to my automated emails. Can I do that?
