Reinspections may be needed if repairs are done, areas were previously inaccessible, or at the client’s request. The reinspection tool makes it easy to carry over past defects, so you can fully reassess and address any missed issues.
In this article, we will go over the steps for enabling reinspections in your settings. Additionally, we will discuss the two available options for scheduling and setting up a reinspection report.
How to Enable Reinspections
To schedule a reinspection, you'll need to enable the option to create a reinspection report first. Follow the step-by-step guide below to enable this feature.

How to Schedule a Reinspection
We offer you two convenient options for scheduling a reinspection. Option 1 allows you to create a brand-new inspection page, including a reinspection report. Alternatively, option 2 allows you to add a reinspection report to an existing or previously built inspection. We'll guide you through both options in this section so you have all the information you need.
🔴 You cannot create a reinspection from a report that has not been published. In order to see the option to create a reinspection report, the original report has to be published.
Option #1: How to Schedule a Reinspection as a New Inspection
One way to schedule reinspections is by adding a new inspection to your schedule from the Internal Scheduler. Like when scheduling any other inspection, you'll have the opportunity to select your services. However, please keep in mind that selecting your usual service may not be the best fit for your reinspection. You can easily set up a Reinspection Service with specific fees under Settings > Services & Fees. No need to add a default template for this setup, as you'll be creating the report from the original inspection. And if you'd like, you can also create a new Reinspection Agreement with terms for this service under Settings > Agreements. We hope this helps make your reinspection process smoother and more efficient!
💡Quick tip: Click on the video above to expand it in another window.
Click "View" under the report you would like to set up the re-inspection for.
Click "Report Tools" in the top right corner.
Select "Schedule Reinspection."
If you want to revisit all defects, click "Select Visible Defects."
If you do not want all defects included, simply check which defects you want added.
Once your defects have been selected, click "Save Report for Inspection." 🔴 Reinspection reports may not appear immediately after being saved. Wait for 5–10 minutes and refresh your page or revisit to confirm.
Add the time/date of the re-inspection.
Add a service
Enter any additional scheduling information.
Click "Save."
🔴 When scheduling a new reinspection, if the original report was in V9 Legacy format but the new reinspection is scheduled using V10 reporting, the software will automatically generate the reinspection in V10! However, V10 reports can't be reinspected in V9 Legacy. V10 reports must be reinspected in V10. If you need any help with this, reach out to the chat bubble for assistance!
Option #2: Adding a Reinspection Report to an Existing Inspection
Do you want to avoid scheduling a new inspection? Have you already scheduled a reinspection? You can add a reinspection report to your existing inspection by following the guide below!
💡Quick tip: Click on the video above to expand it in another window.
Click the three dots next to the report you will reinspect.
Click "Reinspection Report."
Enter the address of the existing inspection you would like the report to be added to.
Click on the inspection.
Select your defects by clicking "Select Visible Defects" or checking which defects you want to inspect.
Once your defects are checked, click "Copy Report To Inspection."
After copying the report, it may take a few minutes to appear in the system. Be patient and refresh the page or check back later.
🔴 When copying a reinspection report to an existing inspection, the reinspection report will be generated in the same format as the inspection. If the current inspection is in V9 format but you want to use the V10 app, convert the original inspection to V10, then create the reinspection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there informational comments on my reinspection report editor?
It is intentional behavior that some informational comments show on the app and web editor for context, but they do not show on the final report. The final reinspection report, both web and PDF, will only display the selected defect comments.
Why can't I see the reinspection option?
Ensure that you have the setting enabled for reinspections. Navigate to Settings > click Report Tools (under Report Options) > toggle on Enable Reinspections.
Why does my reinspection report take so long to appear?
Reinspection reports may take 5–10 minutes to process. Try refreshing your page or checking back later.
How can I create additional reinspection reports?
Return to the original inspection and follow the reinspection creation steps again. You can generate multiple reinspections if needed.
