Often you'll want an inspection with the same address, clients, and agents, whether for reinspections, reorders, follow-ups, or services scheduled for different dates. Instead of re-entering all the same data, you can use our reorder/copy feature!

Reordering/Copying an Inspection

In this section, we'll show you how to reorder/copy an inspection.

πŸ’‘ Quick tip: Click on the video above to expand it in another window.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click "More" in the top right corner

  3. Click "Reorder/Copy" in the dropdown menu

  4. You will be redirected to the "New Inspection" form with all of the inspection info prepopulated

  5. If you'd like to copy the report from the original inspection, check the first box under "Reorder/Copy"

  6. If you'd like to copy the signed agreements from the original inspection, check the second box under "Reorder/Copy"

  7. Choose the inspector, the date/time, and verify the address

  8. Verify the client's information

  9. Select a new service & any add-ons for the new inspection

  10. Verify the client's agent information

    1. If you do not want the client's agent on the new inspection, erase all of their information

  11. Verify the listing agent information

    1. If you do not want the listing agent on the new inspection, erase all of their information

  12. Click "Save Inspection"

πŸ”΄ Note: Any contact information for Agents or Clients will trigger new emails. If you don't want emails to go out, either omit the contact information or Disable Notifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do we remove another person (e.g. agent) while reordering/copying an inspection and before saving to avoid triggering the automations?

    • You will need to remove their contact information from the contact fields. There is no "remove contact" button, unfortunately.

  • I previously did an inspection on a home and the client decided to back out of buying the home. A new client with a new agent wants to pay for the inspection and get the report instead. Should I use the reorder/copy feature for this?

    • Yes! The reorder/copy feature allows you to include the report from the original inspection, and you can easily change out the client's and client's agent's information while scheduling.
