Step 1. Converting Your Inspections on the Web

To continue using V9 (legacy) technology, you'll need to ensure your inspections default to V9.

Default to V9 Reports

  1. Go to settings from the Spectora dashboard

  2. Scroll to Report Options

  3. Uncheck Default to V10

    1. This will convert all future unbuilt reports back to the Legacy Format.

Convert Today's Inspections

  1. Go to the inspection details page for any jobs scheduled for today; or future inspections with built unstarted reports.

    1. You can tell a report is built if it has an edit and a view button:

  2. Verify they are on V10 (V10 reports have a rocket icon by the reports)

  3. Convert to V9 (More in the top right corner > Convert to V9)

    1. This will not carry over any report progress started in V10

Step 2. Accessing the Legacy App

Step by step guide

1. Open this article on your mobile browser

2. Click this button on your Android device to download V9

3. Allow unknown apps on the pop-up

4. V9 will download, log in and inspect as usual!

✨ If you're not seeing the pop-up automatically you'll want to enable this setting manually first. On Android devices you can navigate to Settings > Apps > three dots icon in the upper right > Special access > Install unknown apps > toggle on for the browser you use (typically Chrome) and then click the V9 Android Link again. If it does not auto-install after doing this, please check your "Downloads" on your device and click the recent Spectora download to install the app.
