Welcome to Spectora!

We're excited to have you here!

Our number one goal is to empower you to reach your ultimate potential. We want you to save time, make more money, and have the opportunity to do the things you love outside of the office. A whopping 60% of home inspection businesses go out of business in the first year, and it’s our goal to not have that happen to our customers.

When using a new software platform, it can be confusing how everything works or even where to find everything. That's why we've created this quick start guide to help you get started.

Each section of our guide will walk you through key parts of our software.

Setting Up Your Profile:

Your profile is where you can enter everything about you - your profile picture, your signature, your contact info, and even what areas you service. It's important to fill out your profile so clients and agents know who they're working with.

Follow along with the video below to set up your profile.

Be sure to fill out the following info:

  1. Your profile picture

  2. Your company name, address, email, and phone number

  3. Your licensing credentials

  4. The areas you service and what services you provide


Communication

Communication with clients and agents is key to your business. With our base software, you have preloaded emails that you can customize. Use these automated emails to let clients know their inspection is scheduled, to send a reminder for payment, or to let them know their inspection report is ready.

Agreements

What are agreements? Agreements are the contract that your client signs for liability, pricing, services, etc. You can create custom agreements in your Spectora account and have them auto-generate each time a client books an inspection with you.


Availability

Having your availability entered is crucial so clients can book appointments with you. You can easily set up your schedule for each day of the week and decide which days you're not available.


Templates

Templates are the blueprint of reports. Without a template, you don't have a report to fill out! You can choose one of our pre-built templates or choose one shared by another inspector in our Template Center. Or you can create your own!


Services

The services you have listed in your Spectora account are the services your clients can book for you to perform for them. You can add as many services as you want, decide how much you want to charge, create add-ons for additional services, and even create modifiers for things like square footage or age of the home.


Payments

Payments are how you get paid by your clients! You can set up our built-in payment processor and easily accept payments online.

Mobile App

As an inspector, you're constantly on the go. Having a mobile app that allows you to easily fill out your inspection reports is super handy!


Report Writing

After filling out the report on the mobile app, you may want to make some changes, add additional information, or just double-check your work. You can easily pull up any of your inspection reports on the web to do so.
