How to Get Notified When an Email or Text Fails to Deliver

How to send notifications for communication failure straight to your inbox instead of a chat

Written by Support Team

When an email or text fails to deliver in Spectora, you can receive a notification — either in-app (on your Dashboard) or by email. This is controlled in two places: admins decide which notifications each user receives, and each user decides how they receive them.

  1. Go to Settings → Team → Team Notifications.

  2. Find the team member you want to configure and click the pencil icon to the right of their name.

  3. Under Communications, make sure Email Delivery Failed and/or Text Message Send Error are enabled.

  4. Click Save.

Step 1: Admin enables the notification for the right users

1. Go to Settings > Business Tools > Internal Communication.

💡 Quick tip: You can also reach Team Notifications from the Dashboard — click the NOTIFICATIONS bar, then the gear icon in the top right, then choose TEAM NOTIFICATIONS.

Step 2: Each user sets their delivery preference

  1. Go to Settings → User Settings → Edit Notifications (or click the gear icon in the NOTIFICATIONS section on the Dashboard and choose MY NOTIFICATIONS).

  2. Find the Communications section.

  3. For Email Delivery Failed and Text Message Send Error, set the delivery method to Email or Both to receive alerts by email.

  4. Changes save automatically.

Once configured, Spectora will notify you whenever an outbound email or text fails to reach a client or agent. For a full overview of all available notification types and settings, see How to Manage Team Notification Settings.
