Receiving Payment Notifications

Choose between in-app messages or have notifications sent directly to your inbox!

Written by Support Team

By default, Spectora will send any payment-related notifications to all company admins in the form of an in-app message.

However, if you have more than one admin, this could end up being confusing if multiple admins are taking action on these notifications at the same time. With this situation in mind, you can choose to send these notifications directly to one or more users or disable them entirely for most users.

Notification Options

Currently, we offer two ways to receive payment notifications, which can be controlled on a per-user basis: in-app messages or emails. In this section, we'll give you a quick overview of the difference between the two.

  • In-app message

    • Under Settings > User Options > My Notification Preferences > Edit Notifications, click on Payment, then choose the radio button under In-App to the right of the Payment Received notification:

    • This will send payment received notifications to the app in the messenger.

  • Email

    • Under Settings > User Options > My Notification Preferences > Edit Notifications, Click on Payment, then choose the radio button under Email to the right of the Payment Received Notification:

    • This will send payment received notifications to the user's email address.

  • Both

    • Under Settings > User Options > My Notification Preferences > Edit Notifications, Click on Payment, then choose the radio button under Both to the right of the Payment Received Notification:

🛑 Note: Company admins can disable payment notifications for any user. If you do not see Payment notifications in your User Options settings, this notification is not available to you, either in-app or by email.

🛑 Note: One admin on the account must receive payment notifications, either in-app or by email, or both

💡 Quick tip: Payment notifications default to on when an user with admin privileges is added to an account.

Payment notifications default to off when an user without admin privileges is added to an account.

These defaults can be overridden by an user or staff member with admin privileges.

Choosing Your Notification Preference

You can easily switch from one notification type or the other depending on your preference! In this section, we'll show you how to change from in-app messaging to email.

User:

  3. Click on "User Options"
