If you're migrating to Spectora from another software platform, you likely want all your previous inspection data consolidated in one place for easy access and continuity. Good news—you can seamlessly import your data into your Spectora account! This process allows you to maintain a comprehensive record of past inspections, ensuring that all your historical data is preserved and easily accessible.
Easily import your past inspection data (Date, address, price, order IDs, etc) and agent contacts.
Why Import Your Data?
Accessibility: Easily access past inspection data without needing to leave Spectora.
Efficiency: Save time by having all your data in one place, making it easier to reference previous inspection information.
By importing your previous inspection data into Spectora, you can enjoy a seamless transition and continue to provide high-quality inspection services without interruption.
Steps to Import Your Data
Export Data from Your Current Platform
Begin by exporting your inspection data from your current software platform. You will want to generate a CSV file export that includes all your relevant inspection information.
Prepare Your Data for Import
Ensure that your exported data is organized and formatted correctly to match Spectora's import requirements. You may need to adjust your column headers or data formats to match the import requirements noted in the template below.
Access the Import Feature in Spectora
Upload Your Data
Use the import feature to upload your prepared data files. Follow any prompts to map your data fields to the appropriate sections in Spectora, ensuring that all your information is correctly aligned.
Verify and Finalize
After uploading, review the imported data to ensure everything has transferred accurately. Make any necessary adjustments and confirm the import.
Key Limitations to Know
The ISN Import tool allows inspections to be brought into Spectora from ISN, but there are some important limitations to be aware of:
Metric Visibility: Metrics using Inspections, Inspectors, or Agents as a data source can show counts and revenue. However, groupings like Inspection Services will not work correctly, as imported inspections aren’t mapped to Spectora-defined services. Groupings like City or State should display data as expected.
Unsupported Data Sources: Metrics based on payments, charges, services, or add-on services will not display information for imported inspections.
Previous Inspection Alert: When entering an address on a new inspection, an alert will appear if that address has been previously inspected via ISN. While the previous report itself won’t be available (reports aren’t imported), the link to the original inspection entry will still function—it will just note “No reports for inspection."
❇️ Important Tip for Importing Your Data ❇️
Download the template above (listed in Step 2) to see what information should be included in your data import. The more information you have in the spreadsheet, the easier it is for the importer to read the data!
