Too many footprints can cause issues with our ISN integration. If you have too many, you may notice new inspections not importing over to Spectora.

ISN footprints refer to digital records left by users when they access certain features within the ISN platform. Over time, these footprints can accumulate and impact system integration.

Having too many ISN footprints can block new inspections from being imported into Spectora. It is recommended to maintain fewer than 20 footprints for optimal integration, with 50 being the upper limit where issues start to occur.

ISN will show you all footprints within the past 30 days:

It's important to clean these footprints out periodically to ensure your inspections are imported correctly!

How to Clear the Footprints

Clearing your footprints in ISN can be done in just a few steps. Follow the steps below to see how easy it is to clear the footprints!

💡 Quick tip: Click on the video above to expand it in another window.

  1. Click "Settings"

  2. Click "Office Settings"

  3. Click "ISN Remote Manager"

  4. Select the time frame of when you'd like footprints to automatically be removed

  5. Click "Save Settings" to save your preferred time frame

  6. Click "Remove Footprints Now" to clear your footprints

This will clear them out and allow your integration to work!

After clearing the footprints, it’s important to refresh the integration in Spectora to ensure the latest inspection data is imported. This can be done from the “Refresh from ISN” option in the TODAY box by selecting the relevant inspector and synchronizing the data.

If removing footprints does not resolve the issue, confirm that you are logged into the correct account and try additional refresh attempts in Spectora. You can also try reducing the footprints further to below 20 if issues persist. If the count remains unchanged after these steps, contact ISN support for help.

To proactively manage footprints and prevent future issues, regularly monitor and clear ISN footprints to keep the count below 20. Additionally, configure automatic removal through ISN settings and ensure you’re using the correct (preferably inspector’s) account type.

If you cannot access footprint controls or resolve integration issues, verify that you are logged into the correct account, as admin accounts may not display these options. If features remain inaccessible, or if issues persist, contact ISN support for further assistance.
