Creating a Client Contact through the Contacts Tab

An easy way to add a new client contact is through the Contacts tab. This tab holds all of your client contacts in one place for easy access. In this section, we'll show you step-by-step how to create a client contact via the Contacts tab.

  1. Click "Contacts"

  2. Click "Clients"

  3. Click "Add Client"

  4. Enter the client's information

  5. Click "Save"


Creating a Client Contact on the New Inspection Form

When scheduling a new inspection internally, you can add a new client. This will create a new contact for them in your Contacts tab. By adding the client through the inspection form, you don't need to worry about creating the contact before scheduling! In this section, we'll walk you through how to create a client contact on the new inspection form.

  1. Click "+New Inspection"

  2. Enter the client's information

  3. Fill out the form as normal

  4. Click "Save Inspection"


Creating a Client Contact on an Existing Inspection

Occasionally, you may have an agent book an inspection online without their client's information. You can quickly add the client's information through the existing inspection appointment. This will automatically save the client as a new contact in your Contacts tab! Follow along with the steps in this section to see how to create a client contact on an existing inspection.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click "+New" in the People box

  3. Click "+Client" in the dropdown menu

  4. Enter the client's information

  5. Click "Add client"


Frequently Asked Questions

  • I'm trying to create a new client contact, but it says their email is already in use. Why?

    • Emails are unique identifiers in our system, so they can only be associated with one account or contact. If you're seeing this message, the client most likely worked with another Spectora inspector in the past and that inspector created a contact for them.

    • Instead of creating a new contact, you can search for the existing contact here:

  • How do I edit a client contact?

  • Can I add a profile photo to my client contact?

  • I can't see the "save" button, what do I do?

    • Try adjusting your browser's zoom settings. You may need to zoom out.
