Mock inspections are a useful tool for inspectors to get familiar with Spectora or test new settings without impacting real client data. They offer a low-stakes way to experiment with different features and templates before applying them in actual inspections.
Creating a mock inspection in Spectora is a great way to practice using the platform or test out new templates and features without affecting real reports.

Select a date & time for the mock inspection
Enter an address
You can use your own address or enter an address from online
Be sure to have the square footage and year built filled out
Adding a client is optional
If you'd like to list yourself as the client, be sure to use a different email than the one you use to log into your Spectora account
Select a service
Or manually add a report by clicking "Manual Edit"
Click "Save Inspection"

I'm just getting started, how do I set up my Spectora account?
We've got you covered!
One of my inspectors needs a 'fake report' to edit and move things around in without affecting a real report. Can I use a mock inspection for this?
You sure can! Once the inspection is set up, you can add/remove/edit those reports as much as you need for testing!
