How to Add Photos on Version 10 (Next Gen) App

Are you ready to capture pictures and photos with your Version 10 (Next Gen) app? We're here to make the process a breeze for you! This article will walk you through different camera options such as single shot and rapid fire, and adding photos from your gallery. We'll also share tips on how to optimize your settings for capturing pictures. Let's get started!


Before we begin:

To get the best photo-taking experience on our app, there are a few settings we suggest enabling on your device beforehand. These quick adjustments will ensure smooth and seamless photo capturing.

📱iOS (iPhone, iPad) Users📱

  • Check your permissions.

In order to review the permissions on your device, simply follow these steps:

  1. Tap on Settings within your device.

  2. Search for Spectora.

  3. Click on the Next Gen icon.

  4. Ensure that all settings are properly enabled.

  5. Finally, don't forget to select "all photos" under the Photos tab while on the same screen.

  • Make sure HEIC is turned off.

Unfortunately, Spectora is not equipped to support HEIC file uploads at this time. Not to worry though, we've got you covered with a simple solution to ensure your photos are in JPG format and your photos are compatible with Spectora!

On your phone or IOS device, go to your device Settings > Camera > Formats > and select Most Compatible.

📱Android Users📱

  • Check your permissions

To review the permissions on your device, here are some steps that can guide you:

  1. Tap on Settings on your device.

  2. Search for Spectora.

  3. Click on the Next Gen icon

  4. Make sure all settings are properly enabled. Also, don't forget to select "all photos" under the Photos tab while on the same screen.

Adding Single Shot Photos

Our camera has the convenient option to capture a single, one-off picture. This feature is specifically designed for occasions where one photo is all you need. It is an ideal choice for moments that you want to capture quickly and easily. For example, when you're trying to snap a quick picture of an electrical panel box.

  1. Open the inspection on the app.

  2. Swipe up on the scroll bar.

  3. Click "Start" on the inspection report.

  4. Open the Section.

  5. Open the Item.

  6. Check the comment on.

  7. Select "+Photo."

  8. Hit the camera button.

  9. Select "Use Photo."


Adding Rapid Fire Photos

This feature will greatly enhance your photo-taking experience! With the Rapid Fire camera, you'll be able to effortlessly snap multiple pictures at once. You can even customize your shots with different aspect ratios and lenses. Trust us, you'll love the convenience and speed this feature brings to your photography!

💡 Multiple lenses are only available to iOS devices.

  1. Open the inspection on the app.

  2. Swipe up on the scroll bar.

  3. Click "Start" on the inspection report.

  4. Open the Section.

  5. Open the Item.

  6. Check the comment on.

  7. Select "+Photos"

  8. Continuously hit the camera button.

  9. Your photo will start to add up.

  10. Click the check mark to add them to your comment.


Adding Photos from your Gallery

By adding photos from your device's gallery, you can quickly and easily include multiple photos in your report. In fact, our feature allows you to effortlessly add more than 15 photos at once! This is particularly handy if you've taken the photos with your device and would like to showcase them in your report.

To add photos from your gallery, it's important to enable access. Don't forget to select the "Allow Access" option. This will ensure a smooth and seamless experience. Thank you!

  1. Open the inspection on the app.

  2. Swipe up on the scroll bar.

  3. Click "Start" on the inspection report.

  4. Open the Section.

  5. Open the Item.

  6. Check the comment on.

  7. Hit the "Gallery" button.

  8. Select your photos.

  9. Click "Add"
