When scheduling an inspection in Spectora, it's essential to include specific information to ensure the process goes smoothly. The key piece of information required is the property address. If you're having trouble saving your inspection, it's likely because the address field isn't filled out completely.


Essential Information for Scheduling an Inspection

  • Property Address

    • This is the most crucial detail. Without a complete address, the system won't be able to save your inspection. Make sure to enter the full address accurately.

  • Year Built

    • The year the property was built is another required field. This helps in providing context and details about the inspection.

  • Square Footage

    • Enter the total square footage of the property. This information is necessary for estimating the scope of the inspection.

  • Zip/Postal Code

    • Ensure that the zip or postal code is filled in correctly. This helps in pinpointing the exact location of the property.


Troubleshooting Tips

Below you'll find common issues that may come up when trying to save an inspection.

  • Trying to save an inspection, but the "Save" option is greyed out

    • Please make sure that each address line is filled out correctly, including square footage, year built, and foundation.


      If you aren't seeing these fields in your view, click the Address Form button to enter this information manually.

  • "An error occurred, your changes likely did not save" when trying to save the inspection

    • If you are receiving this error, please try clearing your browser's cache, checking for browser extensions that could be causing issues, or trying a different browser.

    • You may also need to check your browser to ensure you do not have any pop-up blockers enabled

  • The required information has been filled out, but still cannot save the inspection
