When scheduling an inspection in Spectora, it's essential to include specific information to ensure the process goes smoothly. The key piece of information required is the property address. If you're having trouble saving your inspection, it's likely because the address field isn't filled out completely.
Essential Information for Scheduling an Inspection
Property Address
This is the most crucial detail. Without a complete address, the system won't be able to save your inspection. Make sure to enter the full address accurately.
Year Built
The year the property was built is another required field. This helps in providing context and details about the inspection.
Square Footage
Enter the total square footage of the property. This information is necessary for estimating the scope of the inspection.
Zip/Postal Code
Ensure that the zip or postal code is filled in correctly. This helps in pinpointing the exact location of the property.
Troubleshooting Tips
Below you'll find common issues that may come up when trying to save an inspection.
Trying to save an inspection, but the "Save" option is greyed out
"An error occurred, your changes likely did not save" when trying to save the inspection
Potential connection issues - scheduling is done on the web. If you don't have a strong, stable connection (either cellular data or Wi-Fi) this could lead to an error when attempting to save.
Invalid or missing email addresses for the client or agent, or email addresses not in the correct format (e.g., missing “.” or containing “,”)
Use of symbols in the client’s or agent’s name (such as “&” or “c/o”)
Check all email addresses to ensure they don't contain invalid formatting and edit if necessary.
If you have a symbol in the name field for any contact, please erase it and try saving.
Uploading an agent’s photo in an unsupported file format, only .jpg, .jpeg, or .png are accepted.
If you have a photo uploaded for the Agent contact, please remove it and try saving. You can add this later by editing their contact.
If you are still receiving this error, please try clearing your browser's cache, checking for browser extensions that could be causing issues, or trying a different browser.
You may also need to check your browser to ensure you do not have any pop-up blockers enabled.
The required information has been filled out, but still cannot save the inspection
Be sure to check your subscription status on your billing page. If you do not have an active subscription, you will not be able to save new inspections.
