While you have the flexibility to add sections, items, and comments to a report on-site, you might also want to incorporate those changes into your template for future use.

Fortunately, with Spectora, this process is seamless and can be done effortlessly either through the Spectora App or the Spectora website.

By accessing your template settings, you can swiftly implement any adjustments or additions made during the inspection process, ensuring that your template remains up-to-date and reflective of your evolving needs and preferences.

How to Save to Your Template Through the App

In this section, we'll show you how to save new comments to your template through the Spectora mobile app.

  1. Tap the + icon to add a new comment

  2. Tap to check the box next to "Save to template for future use"

  3. Tap "Save"

  4. Once you've synced from the app, your new comment will appear in your template


How to Save to Your Template Through the Web

  1. Click the + button to add a new comment

  2. Click the checkbox next to "Save to template for use in future reports"

  3. Click "Save"

  4. Your new comment will appear in your template


Saving More Changes


Once you've created the new comment, you might want to make more changes and save those to your template. As you edit that comment, click the Floppy Disk icon to save any additional changes

IMPORTANT:
If you do NOT check the "save to template" box when you are creating a comment, the Floppy Disk icon will not appear.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why does the save button say "No changes to save?"

    • If you did not make any changes to the comment, OR if the changes have already been saved to the template, hovering over the Save button will display a message that mentions "No changes to save."
      ​

  • Why don't I see the "save to template" option on all of my comments?

    • The "Save to Template" option will only show up for newly added comments.
      ​

  • Is there a setting I can enable so all changes/new comments are automatically saved to my template?

    • Unfortunately not!
