Summaries are a great way to give your clients or agents a short rundown of the most important issues found on their home inspection. One way to make the summary even more concise and printable is to remove photos from the summary.

Switching your Template to a Text-Only Summary

This section will show you step-by-step how to change your template to have a text-only summary.

  1. Click "Templates"

  2. Click "My Templates"

  3. Select your template from the dropdown menu

  4. Click the 3 dots on the right

  5. Click "Template Settings"

  6. Click "Display Options"

  7. Check the box for "Text-Only Summary (no photos)"

  8. Click "Save"

πŸ’‘ Quick tip: Click on the video above to expand it in another window.

Once this is done any report built from that template will have the Text-Only summary turned on. This will not affect any past reports.

Changing the Text-Only Summary for a Report

This section will show you step-by-step how to change your report to have a text-only summary.

  1. Click on your inspection

  2. Click "Edit" below the report name

  3. Click the 3 dots on the right

  4. Click "Report Settings"

  5. Click "PDF Options"

  6. Check the "Text-Only Summary" box to remove photos from the summary

  7. Uncheck the "Text-Only Summary" box to include photos in the summary

  8. Click "Save"

πŸ’‘ Quick tip: Click on the video above to expand it in another window.

The steps to use the Text-Only summary on a report are very similar to turning it on for a template, but it will only affect that report.

What does this look like?

The text-only summary will have a similar format to any other summary, but will be much shorter and more of a list!
