Adding attachments to your inspection templates in Spectora is a useful way to provide additional documentation or resources to clients on all of your reports. You can include PDFs, images, or other relevant files that complement the report. This feature is particularly helpful for including warranties, guides, or maintenance recommendations. Here's how to add attachments to your templates.


Adding Attachments as Documents to Your Template

In this section, we'll show you how to add attachments to your template as 'additional documents.' Additional documents will have their own spot on the Inspection Details page and will show in the "Documents" section of the Client Portal.

  1. Click "Templates"

  2. Click "My Templates"

  3. Select your template from the dropdown menu

  4. Click "+Attachment"

  5. Click "Add a new attachment"

  6. Enter a client-facing name for the attachment

  7. Click "Choose File" to select the file from your computer

  8. Click "Save"

  9. The attachment will show as a document in the "Additional Documents" box on your inspections


Adding Attachments as Reports to Your Template

In this section, we'll show you how to add attachments to your template as reports. When adding attachments as reports, they will show in the 'Reports' box alongside your standard inspection reports. They will also show in the 'Reports' tab of the Client Portal.

  1. Click "Templates"

  2. Click "My Templates"

  3. Select your template from the dropdown menu

  4. Click "+Attachment"

  5. Click "Add a new attachment"

  6. Enter a client-facing name for the attachment

  7. Click "Choose File" to select the file from your computer

  8. Check "Display as Report" to have the attachment shown in the Reports box

  9. Click "Save"

  10. The attachment will show as a report in the Reports box of your inspections
