Frequently Asked Questions
I'm trying to assign an inspector to an inspection, but it won't let me select them/they aren't showing in the dropdown menu. What do I do?
You may need to check your billing page to ensure the inspector is assigned to a subscription. Click here to see how to assign the inspector to a subscription.
Why is an inspection assigned to the wrong inspector?
This may occur due to mismatched email addresses between Spectora and ISN. Verify and update the inspector's email in both systems to ensure they match. Once corrected, recheck the inspection assignments.
Why wasn't the inspector I expected automatically assigned?
Automatic assignments consider factors like availability (calendar conflicts, booked times), proximity (distance to the inspection location), and system settings (e.g., "Allow choice of inspectors" in the Online Scheduler). Adjust these settings or manually reassign as needed.
Why does the report link show the wrong inspector or not appear?
This can happen if there are multiple inspections for the same address or if the desired inspection is unpublished. Publish the correct inspection and resend the report link.
