Occasionally, you may run into a situation where you need to remove a client from an inspection- perhaps they need someone else listed as the client, or you may need to remove them completely from your contacts list. If you encounter either scenario, this article is here to help!



Deleting a Client Contact on an Existing Inspection

In this section, we'll show you how to remove a client from an existing inspection. Removing the client from the inspection ensures they will no longer receive communication regarding the inspection.

Note: Removing the client from the inspection does not revoke their access to the client portal or the published report.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click the 3 dots to the right of the client's name in the People box

  3. Click "Remove" in the dropdown menu

  4. Click "Remove Client"

Follow the steps below to see how to remove a client from your contacts list and subsequently all associated inspections.

  1. Click "Contacts"

  2. Click "Clients"

  3. Click the arrow button to the right of the client's name

  4. Click "Delete" in the dropdown menu

  5. Verify that you are ready to remove the contact as there is no undoing this!

  6. Click "Delete"


Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m trying to delete a client that was sent the wrong report, but I don't see the option. Why is that?

    • If the inspection has already been published, you cannot delete the client, nor can you delete the inspection. Our support team can help with this though and remove the client from the back-end!
