Enabling the Cost Estimator
You can quickly enable the Cost Estimator in your account settings. Once enabled, you'll see cost estimate amounts listed in your templates. These amounts can be edited and adjusted as needed to provide clients with an accurate idea of how much a repair may cost. In this section, we'll show you how to enable the Cost Estimator and how it will show up in your templates.
If you encounter issues enabling the feature, ensure it is activated under Settings > Report Tools and try exiting and reopening the report.
Click "Settings"
Click "Report Tools"
Click "Enable Cost Estimator"
Click "Templates"
The defects in your template will now have "Cost Estimate Defaults"
These can be set to any amount you would like
How to Use the Cost Estimator on the Web
After enabling the Cost Estimator, you can provide an estimate for any defects listed in your reports. You can also quickly adjust the estimate amounts if needed while editing your report. In this section, we'll show you how to use the Cost Estimator on the web.
If you cannot find the 'Provide Cost Estimate' option, verify that the feature is enabled in your settings and try reopening the report.
Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page
Click the report name to open the web editor
Click on a section to open it
Click on an item to open it
Select a defect by checking the box to the left of the defect name
Click "Provide Cost Estimate" inside the defect comment
The default amounts from your template will show
Adjust the estimate amounts if needed
The cost estimate amounts will show as a green flag in the corner of the defect on the web report
The cost estimates will also show below the defect comment in the PDF report
Adding Cost Estimator Amounts in the App

If you need to add or adjust an estimated amount while working in the app, you can easily do so!
If you experience difficulties, ensure the app is updated to the latest version and that the Cost Estimator feature is enabled in your settings.
How to add Cost Estimator on the V9 (Legacy) app:
Tap on the inspection in the app to open it
Tap on the report name
Tap on a section to open it
Tap on an item to open it
Tap on a defect to select it
Tap the "Estimate" button to provide a cost estimate for the selected defect
Edit the estimate amounts (if needed)

Tap on the inspection in the app to open it
Swipe up on the "Reports" tab
Tap "Start" under the report name to open it
Tap on a section to open it
Tap on an item to open it
Tap on the checkbox to the left of the defect name to select it
Tap the "Estimate" button to provide a cost estimate for the selected defect
Edit the estimate amounts (if needed)
