In this guide, we'll walk you through utilizing the photo annotator feature within our web editor. Together, we'll delve into the array of icons and their functionalities, covering how to incorporate shapes, fine-tune brightness and rotation, integrate text boxes, and remove annotations. Let's dive in!

How to Add a Shape to a Photo


In this section, we'll lead you through the process of incorporating a circle, square, arrow, or line to elevate your photo.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click on the report name to open the web editor

  3. Click the camera icon to show the photos uploaded on a comment

  4. Click on the photo you want to edit

  5. Select which color you want your shape to be

  6. Choose which shape you want to use

  7. Click on the photo, and then drag and drop your shape

  8. Once you are finished, click the green checkmark in the bottom right


How to Edit Existing Shapes on a Photo

You can also edit existing shapes on your photos.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click on the report name to open the web editor

  3. Click the camera icon to show the photos uploaded on a comment

  4. Click on the photo you want to edit

  5. Click the blue-highlighted shape button to turn it off

  6. Adjust your shape by clicking and dragging to resize it or drag and drop to move it

  7. Once you are finished, click the green checkmark in the bottom right


How to Adjust the Brightness or Rotate a Photo

In this section, we will guide you through the process of adjusting an image's brightness and rotating it to your desired orientation.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click on the report name to open the web editor

  3. Click the camera icon to show the photos uploaded on a comment

  4. Click on the photo you want to edit

  5. Adjust the brightness up or down by clicking the sun & arrow buttons

  6. Rotate the photo left or right by clicking the circular arrow buttons

  7. Once you are finished, click the green checkmark in the bottom right


How to Add Text to an Image

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click on the report name to open the web editor

  3. Click the camera icon to show the photos uploaded on a comment

  4. Click on the photo you want to edit

  5. Click the "A" button to open a text box

  6. Enter your desired text

  7. Click "Save"

  8. Click on the newly entered text, then drag and drop to move or resize it

  9. Once you are finished, click the green checkmark in the bottom right


How to Delete a Previous Annotation

Is there a previous shape or annotation that you need to remove? No problem, this section is here to guide you through the process of undoing those previous edits.

  1. Click on the inspection to open the Inspection Details page

  2. Click on the report name to open the web editor

  3. Click the camera icon to show the photos uploaded on a comment

  4. Click on the photo you want to edit

  5. Click on the shape you want to remove

  6. Click the trash can icon

  7. Once you are finished, click the green checkmark in the bottom right


Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do the annotations move when the photo is rotated?

    • No. The annotations will remain in their same position even if the photo is rotated.

  • Can I duplicate my annotations?

    • Unfortunately no. At this time, we do not have the option to duplicate or copy annotations, and they would have to be inputted manually.
