Spectora enforces file size limits on uploads across the platform. These limits are part of ongoing security improvements. When you try to upload a file that exceeds the limit, you'll see an error message letting you know the file is too large.

What to Do If You See an Upload Error
What to Do If You See an Upload Error
If you receive a "file too large" error, check the size of the file you're trying to upload and compare it to the limits above. Here are some ways to reduce file size before uploading:
Images: Use a free online image compressor to reduce file size before uploading.
Videos: Convert to MP4 format and use a video compressor (such as FreeConvert) to reduce file size. Alternatively, consider embedding the video via YouTube or Google Drive instead of uploading directly.
PDFs: Use a free online PDF compressor to reduce the file size before attaching.
CSVs: Split large import files into smaller batches and import them separately.
Seeing a Different Error Message?
Seeing a Different Error Message?
If you're uploading a large file on a slow internet connection, you may occasionally see a generic error message instead of the file-too-large notification. If this happens, check both the file size and your internet connection speed before troubleshooting further.
