Canceling your Spectora subscription or managing auto-renewal is a straightforward process. This guide provides step-by-step instructions, important notes on cancellation policies, and details for specific subscription types.

General Steps to Cancel a Subscription

To cancel your Spectora subscription:

  1. Log in to your Spectora account.

  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Billing from the dropdown menu.

  4. Navigate to the Subscriptions section.

  5. Locate the subscription you want to cancel and click Cancel next to it.

Important Notes on Cancellation Policies

  • Timing Matters: Cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. There are no refunds or credits for unused days.

  • Access Retention: After canceling, you retain access to your account and its features (e.g., templates, settings, reports) until the end of the current billing period. However, you won’t be able to schedule new inspections unless you resubscribe.

  • No Pause Option: Spectora does not offer a pause or hold option for subscriptions. You can cancel and resubscribe later if needed.

Managing Auto-Renewal

Spectora subscriptions auto-renew by default. To prevent auto-renewal, you must manually cancel your subscription before the next billing date. There is no setting to turn off auto-renewal directly.

Canceling Specific Subscription Types

Spectora Advanced

To cancel a Spectora Advanced subscription:

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Billing from the dropdown menu.

  3. Navigate to the Spectora Advanced section.

  4. Click Disable Advanced to cancel.

Note: Any outstanding inspections set to bill will still be charged. After those are billed, new inspections will no longer include the Advanced fee.

Add-Ons or User Subscriptions

To cancel add-ons or user subscriptions:

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Billing from the dropdown menu.

  3. Navigate to the Subscriptions section.

  4. Click Cancel next to the add-on or user subscription you want to end.

You can also request cancellation by starting a chat with Spectora support. Note that the mobile app’s "Request Account Deletion" option does not cancel paid subscriptions; it is intended for deleting all account data and cannot proceed if there is an active paid subscription.

Can I get a refund if my subscription auto-renewed by mistake?

Spectora does not typically offer refunds. Future cancellations should be managed from your Billing page to avoid auto-renewal charges.

Why can’t Spectora cancel a subscription for me?

Only the account owner or an admin of the company profile can authorize cancellations or changes. Spectora cannot cancel subscriptions on behalf of users.

How can I check if a subscription is still active?

Go to the Billing section and open the Subscriptions page. Look for the subscription in question (it may appear toward the bottom of the list). If it shows as active, select it and choose the option to cancel.
