When a client uses a Spectora-powered inspection report, their information is protected by the Spectora Partner Promise. This page explains what that means: who can receive client data, under what conditions, and what standards every Spectora partner must follow around consent, communication, and compliance.
The following is the Spectora Partner Promise:
We're protective of our people.
Spectora partners with companies that solve real problems for inspectors and clients — not just companies looking for sales opportunities. Our inspectors trust us with their businesses, and clients trust inspectors with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. That trust extends to anyone we work with. For example, Buyer Protection Products, such as insurance or home warranty offers, are one way we provide value to clients while ensuring their data is handled responsibly.
We only share client information with a partner when the client explicitly directs/asks us to do it. Specifically, this means that data is only shared when a client voluntarily submits a form consenting to be contacted about a specific Buyer Protection Product, such as insurance or home warranty services. In such cases, only the client’s name, phone number, and email address are shared with a single vetted partner.
Non-negotiable standards for our partners:
Explicit consent only. If a client didn't opt in, partners don't get their information. Period.
No bait-and-switch. Partners must honor the specific purpose for which consent was given.
Be honest about who's calling. Partners must be upfront about who they are and why they're calling. No confusion, no misleading introductions.
Compliance isn't optional. Every communication must follow CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and all applicable laws. Partners must provide clear opt-out mechanisms.
Value or nothing. We don't work with partners who waste people's time. If you're not solving a real problem, you're not our partner.
Why this matters:
When an inspector shares a client's information through our platform, they're trusting us to protect that relationship. When a client uses a Spectora-powered report, they're trusting the system we built. We take both sides of that equation seriously, and we expect our partners to do the same.
Inspectors can manage Buyer Protection Product settings in their Spectora account. To disable these features, navigate to Settings → Buyer Protection Products and toggle off the options you do not wish to offer. Disabling this feature ensures that new clients will no longer see optional partner offers in the Client Portal, though existing clients who have opted in will continue their engagement with the partner.
This isn't legal advice—see our privacy policy for that. This is our promise about how we do business.
