Key Updates
Each comment type has a separate tab for ease of navigation and to limit scrolling. Information, Limitation and Defect (or Observation) comments will each have their own separate tab, simply click to navigate between them.
Each separate comment type tab is scroll-able within itself.
To add a new comment, instead of scrolling to the separate comment types, the + Add button is now at the top right of each comment list.
Editing the Section and the Item are condensed and more easily accessible.
Click the green paper icon to view Reminders
You can also now search within an item
Instead of "Search for comments" it is now "Search entire report"
Hovering over a Sections three dots will display the options to Duplicate or Delete.
Hovering over an Items three dots will display the options to Duplicate, Move or Delete.
Comment options will display very similarly as in the previous editor.
Clicking to drag and re-order Sections and Items remains similar, however, moving/re-ordering comments is a bit different.
Instead of dragging and dropping to re-order comments, a new menu will populate for ease of re-ordering comments. You can still drag and drop within this menu.
Click "Reset changes" to the left of the save button to reset the comments to previous order.
Click "Cancel" to cancel the editing altogether, no changes will be saved.
Click "Save" to save your changes!
There is now a full screen option.
You can easily swap back to the previous V10 web editor if you wish to do so.
In the web editor page click the three dots in the upper right corner > then click "Open in previous V10 editor".
We’ve added a new setting in the report editor that lets you choose which comment tab shows up first, Defects, Informational, or Limitation Comments.
You can also set a "Default tab attribute" either None or Flagged.
This is helpful if you want your flagged comments to show at the top of the list.
You can also toggle on to "Hide navbar by default" meaning the editor will automatically go to fullscreen mode.
Keep in mind this will also hide the navigation bar.
If you liked seeing Informational Comments first automatically (like it used to be), here’s how to switch it back:
Click the ⚙️ gear icon at the top of the Comments section.
Choose Editor Preferences.
In the Default Selected Tab dropdown, pick Informational and save.
This choice will remain for all future reports. You can always change it following the same steps.
