How to Pay via ACH
Paying for a home inspection through Spectora is straightforward:
Access Your Client Portal: After booking your inspection, you’ll receive an email with a link to your personalized portal.
Select “Pay Now”: On the payment page, you’ll see the option to pay via bank transfer (ACH).
Enter Your Bank Details: Provide your bank routing and account numbers as prompted. This is securely done through Stripe. Double-check the information for accuracy to avoid failed payments.
Confirm the Payment: Once you complete the process, the payment will be initiated.
Click "Pay Now" in Client Portal
Select "Bank Transfer"
Input full name, email and select your bank
Confirm bank choice and continue
Enter bank login credentials
Confirm where to send verification code
Enter code and continue
Select bank account and continue
(Optional step) save payment information with Link
ACH payments typically take up to 5 business days to fully process. You’ll be notified when the payment has been successfully completed.

What Happens If the Payment Fails?
In rare cases, ACH payments may fail due to:
Insufficient funds in your account.
Incorrect bank details provided during payment.
If a payment fails, Spectora will notify you and your inspector. You’ll need to reprocess the payment, ensuring the details are correct. Keep in mind that a failed payment fee may apply. Failed ACH bank transfer payments incur a $4.04 fee. You can read more about fees here.
How Refunds Work for ACH Payments
If your inspection is canceled or a refund is required:
Your inspector can issue the refund directly through the platform.
Refunds typically take 3–5 business days to reflect in your bank account.
Note that ACH refunds will match the original payment amount, and processing fees are not refundable.

Have Your Bank Details Handy: Make sure you have accurate account and routing numbers ready before initiating payment.
Plan for Processing Time: As ACH payments can take a few days to process, complete your payment well before the scheduled inspection date.
