Keeping track of financial updates is key for any inspection business, and Spectora makes this easy by providing alerts for disputes and failed ACH payments. These alerts notify you if a client disputes a charge or if an ACH payment fails, allowing you to take quick action to resolve the issue and maintain smooth operations.

In this article, we’ll walk you through what these alerts mean, where to find them, and the steps you can take to address disputes or failed payments effectively.

Dispute

In Spectora, disputes occur when a client challenges a charge, typically through their bank or card provider, resulting in funds being withdrawn from your account until the dispute is resolved. Spectora provides alerts directly on your dashboard to notify you of any disputes, so you can quickly review the details, gather relevant documentation, and respond as needed. Since disputes can impact your revenue, prompt attention is important to ensure a smooth resolution.

To see more information on the dispute and submit evidence, click "View" in the Alert notification.

Dispute Under Review

Once you've submitted evidence for a dispute, a new banner will appear on your Alerts letting you know that the dispute is under review. Dispute evidence is reviewed by the client's bank and decisions are made in 60-75 days. You'll receive a message once the dispute is resolved.

Bank Transfer Failure

In Spectora, bank transfers may fail due to various issues such as incorrect bank details, insufficient funds, or connectivity problems with payment processors. These failures can disrupt payment processing, leading to delays in receiving payments.

If a bank transfer fails, you'll receive a notification in your Alerts banner. The client of the inspection will need to submit a new payment if the original transfer fails.
