Helping clients get contractor quotes on defects you've found is of high value to them. Every home buyer wants to resolve their anxiety and uncertainty about finding someone to fix issues. When you do that for them, you've just created a loyal customer.
Quote Request Options
Quote Request Options
The heart of the Recommended Contractors feature is enabling clients to request quotes directly within the report-viewing experience. There are two methods our system utilizes to facilitate this quote request process:
Email: If your contractor wants to receive client quote requests by email (perhaps routed to office staff), you can select this option.
SMS Text: For contractors who either do not have an email address or aren't able to respond to emails in a timely manner, you can ask them to opt in to receive client quote requests via SMS text.
By the way, if a contractor wants to get quote requests via both methods they can!

Since there are regulations around SMS Text messages, carriers require end-users (in this case your contractor) to provide consent before texts can be sent.
That means there are a couple of steps for you to complete in this setup and a couple of steps for your contractor to complete. The good news is these steps are small and easy to do.

Once they have agreed via the opt-in form, they will receive a text to the number listed on their contact
They must reply YES to the text to confirm that they've opted in
Once they've replied "YES" to the confirmation text, they will see a new text indicating that they have opted in
❇️ Important things to note: ❇️
For inspection companies using their own custom number, the text message sent to the contractor will not refer to “Spectora” but instead will use the inspection company’s name and logo.
The contractor must double opt-in to receive quote request text messages (you cannot opt-in on their behalf).
The text message for quote requests sent to the contractor is not editable.
