We've made it easy to bring your Whisper template into Spectora!  Imports are never apples-to-apples, but we hope the import process gives you a great head-start in making the switch!

First, you'll have to export your comments from Whisper. There are a few steps to this, so we've made this video to guide you through the process.

How to Create a Whisper Template Backup for Importing

In this section, you'll find the full steps (with pictures!) on how to create a backup of your Whisper template. This backup file is what you'll import into Spectora to have your Whisper template available to you for report writing. 

Open WhisperReporter. Open File → Browse Reports... ​

Select the Template from the list you would like to export and click OK ​

Open File → Data Manager... ​

Select Backup reports or other data to a backup file and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

Select Backup Current Report Only and Click Next &gt;&gt; ​

Enter the location where you would like to save the backup and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

Select RapidRemarks and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

Enter the location where you would like to save the RapidRemarks and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

Click Close and close WhisperReporter. ​

Navigate to where you placed the Template Backup and RapidRemarks ​

Right-click the RapidRemarks backup (Starts with WR_RRBackup) and select Extract All... ​

This will open a new window. Select all the files in this folder and drag them onto the template backup zip file. ​

Open the template backup zip file. ​

The important parts are the files beginning with a bunch of numbers and letters, like xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx, and those beginning files with WhisperRapidRemarks. If you have all of these in the Template backup zip file now, then you are ready to import it into Spectora!

1. Open WhisperReporter. Open File → Browse Reports... ​

2. Check Marked as Template ​

3. Select the Template from the list you would like to export and click OK ​

4. Open File → Data Manager... ​

6. Select Backup Current Report Only and Click Next &gt;&gt; ​

7. Enter the location where you would like to save the backup and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

8. Click Backup ​

9. Click OK ​

10. Click &lt;&lt; Back ​
 
 ​
11. Click &lt;&lt; Back again ​

12. Select RapidRemarks and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

13. Click Next &gt;&gt; ​

14. Enter the location where you would like to save the RapidRemarks and click Next &gt;&gt; ​

15. Click Backup ​

16. Click OK ​

17. Click Close and close WhisperReporter. ​

18. Navigate to where you placed the Template Backup and RapidRemarks ​

19. Right-click the RapidRemarks backup (Starts with WR_RRBackup) and select Extract All... ​

 Now that you have your zip file of your Whisper template, you're ready to import it into your Spectora account. Follow the steps below to import the file!

Pop into Templates, click our dropdown menu (with the 3 vertical dots), then click +Add Templates ​

Select "Import from Another Software" and hit "Browse" to select the ".zip" file you created from Whisper: ​

Click "Import Template" and within a few minutes you'll have a template with all of your Whisper comments!

And that's it! Your Whisper template is now in your "My Templates" list, and ready to use for report writing!
