How to unshare a template that is shared to the community or was shared by mistake

If you have shared a template with the template center in the past, but have since changed your mind or accidentally shared it, no worries! You can easily remove it from the template center so it is no longer shareable.

We'll walk you through the steps in this article.

Please note: removing a template from the template center will not result in its removal from inspectors' templates if they have previously downloaded it.


Unsharing a Template from the Template Center

In this section, we'll show you how to remove a template for the template center that was previously shared.

  1. From your dashboard, click "Templates."

  2. Click "My Templates."

  3. Open the template you had previously shared.

  4. Click the three dots in the top right corner.

  5. Click "Template Settings."

  6. Navigate to "Sharing."

  7. Click on the drop-down menu under "Share this template?"

  8. Select "No."

  9. Click "Save."

  • If I upload a template to the template center and then make modifications to it, will the changes be reflected in the template available in the template center?

    No, the changes you make in your template after it has been shared will not affect the current template in the template center.

  • If I stop sharing my template, will it be removed from the profiles of other inspectors who have already downloaded it?

    Unsharing will not remove it from the accounts.
