When using Spectora Advanced to create multiple-condition Advanced Automations you'll notice that you can toggle the And/Or option for multiple conditions. The And and Or options decide whether all of the conditions of an Advanced Automation or any of the conditions must apply to send.

Check out the walk-through video below:

Each of these options dictates what requirements need to be met in order for the Advanced Automation to trigger.

Let's go over each one in a bit more detail below.

And Option:

When using the "And" option, this tells the system that all requirements have to be met for the automation to be sent out. This is great to use for upsell emails or reminders!

Example - "And" Conditions

With more than one condition on an automation, having "And" set for the conditions means every condition must be true for the automation to fire.

For Example, if your two conditions are:

  • If Service Addon - Residential Inspection > Radon - is not included on inspection
    "And"

  • If Service Addon - Resitdential Inspection > Termite - is not included on inspection

Then this automation will fire only if both of those addon services are not on the inspection. Even if only one of the add-on services were on the inspection, this automation would not fire.

OR Option:

The "OR" option means any of the conditions can apply for the automation to be sent.

This is great to use for specific customization of what messages and updates you want to be sent based on services, specific contacts, having agreements signed, inspections paid for, and more.

Example - "Or" Conditions

With more than one condition on an advanced automation, having the "Or" option means only one condition has to be true for the automation to fire.

For this example, you offer two Termite options; one as a stand-alone service to be offered, and one as an add-on service to a home inspection. Let's say you outsource your Termites to a 3rd party. The "OR" option works perfectly for this scenario so whether a client chooses your Stand Alone Termite or Residential Inspection with Termite addon, the email will get to where it needs to be!

  • If Service - Termite - is included in inspection

    "Or"

  • If Service Addon - Residential Inspection > Termite - is included in inspection

Then this automation will fire if either of the conditions apply.
