What are Item Ratings?
Item ratings are tappable/clickable ratings like "Inspected," "Not Present," and "Deficient" that can be assigned to each item in your inspection report. These ratings can be helpful for clients and agents as the ratings also create a grid. When using Item Ratings, you can choose to use either Classic Ratings or Custom Ratings.

Classic Ratings
In our Classic Rating system, each tap will reveal the appropriate comments. For example, if you find an observation/defect, you must tap the "D" to reveal your defect comments.
Key factors for Classic Ratings:
Fixed ratings: IN/NI/NP + customizable Defect label
Ratings are linked for fewer taps (i.e. tapping "NI" de-selects "IN")
Comments show-and-hide based on selected rating
Marking NI/NP completes an item in the progress meter
NI/NP generate auto-comments if no limitations are present (i.e. "Microwave not present")
How to Enable Classic Ratings
This section will show you step-by-step how to enable Classic Ratings in your template.
Click "Templates"
Click "My Templates"
Select your template from the dropdown menu
Click the 3 dots on the right
Click "Template Settings"
Click "Item Ratings"
Click "Use Ratings"
Classic Ratings will automatically be selected
You can set a default item status as well!
Set your preferred default status
Click "Save"

Using Classic Ratings
Future reports from this template will have the linked rating system stored, which works as follows:
Tapping NI or NP deselects IN and D (or whatever your custom Defect wording is)
Tapping IN deselects NI and NP
Tapping D selects IN
Your comments will also show and hide based on the selected rating, to help you stay organized:
IN items will show informational comments
NI/NP items will show limitation comments
D items will show both informational and deficient comments
Classic ratings also restore the former progress completion rules:
Items cannot be complete until “touched” (i.e. you tap into the item)
Items marked NI or NP are complete
Items marked IN must have all informational comments addressed before being complete
Custom Ratings
In our Custom Ratings, you will see all of your comments in each item and will allow you to select Inspected as well as have a Limitation comment.
Customize all ratings to anything you want (great for other inspection types)
Ratings are unlinked from each other (any combination is possible)
All comments are always displayed
Item completes only when all info comments are filled or deleted
Note: This is on a per-template basis, so be sure to double-check each template is set to the desired setting!
How to Enable Custom Ratings
You can fully customize your new ratings below if you would like and have up to eight ratings!
Click "Templates"
Click "My Templates"
Select your template from the dropdown menu
Click the 3 dots on the right
Click "Template Settings"
Click "Item Ratings"
Click "Use Ratings"
Click the dropdown menu
Select Custom Ratings
Enter your preferred rating name
Enter your preferred abbreviation
Select your preferred color
To add a new rating, click "+Rating"
To delete a rating, click the "X"
Click "Save"

Using Custom Ratings
With Custom Ratings, all of your comments show up immediately. This includes your information comments, limitations, and defects.
Keep in mind, that all ratings can be selected when using Custom Ratings. Since all ratings can be selected, you'll want to check that you've selected the correct one for that item.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add more than 4 ratings with Classic Ratings?
No; Classic Ratings are built-in and set at 4 ratings. If you need more than 4 ratings, you can choose Custom Ratings instead. With Custom Ratings, you can have up to 8 ratings!
Can I change my ratings or add new ratings to my report?
Unfortunately not. Once a report is built, changes made to the template will not pull in. If you need your report to have new/updated ratings, make the changes in the template then add a new report to your inspection.
Why can't I see my defect comments with Classic Ratings?
In order to see the defects, you'll need to tap "D" (or whatever your defect label is).
Can I turn ratings off for certain items?
While you can't turn the item ratings off for certain items, we do have an option to set them as "info-only items." When items are set as "info-only," they do not have item ratings, defects, or the overview grid.
How do the items show on my report?
The item ratings will show in a grid in the overview tab on your report:
