Choosing a Data Source
Choosing a Data Source
First, you'll choose the Data source for your custom widget. This impacts what fields you'll be able to construct your chart from.
Each Data Source will pull specific data as the base for your widget.
Inspection Data
All inspections in our system, including canceled, deleted, unconfirmed, paid, and unpaid inspections. (You can further filter using 'Filters')
Payment Data
Payments you've collected from your clients
Agent Data
Client's agent data (paid inspections only)
Service Data
Services connected to paid inspections
Add-On Data
Add-ons connected to paid inspections
Inspector Data
Data by assigned inspector(s) on all inspections in our system, including canceled, deleted, unconfirmed, paid, and unpaid inspections (You can further filter using 'Filters')
Charges Data
Invoice line items (paid inspections only)
Select Options & Filters
Select Options & Filters
Next, you'll choose your options and filters for your data source.
The options and filters will help you narrow down exactly what type of data you want displayed.
Calculate
You can calculate things like total or average revenue, total inspections, or average square feet.
Groups
The group option sorts your calculated field (ie. total inspections) by things like company, referral source, inspection city, or state.
Filters
The filters allow you to specify a particular time frame like the last 30 days or this calendar year to date.
You can further filter your time frame by intervals. Select from day, week, month, or year.
You can also add additional filters with the "Add Filter" button to show even more specific info like only paid inspections.
Type
The chart type is how the chart looks and displays data. If you want to see data over time like "Number of Inspections per Month", "area" and "line" charts are great. If you're looking for proportional data, like "Top Referral Sources", "pie", "bar" or "polar area" charts work well.
Here are a few examples:
β
As you can see, various charts can show the same data and the differences are largely aesthetic. There are several other types, so play around and find the ones that you like best!

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I see the average inspection fee for the current year vs previous years?
βFirst, add the "Average Inspection Price" widget to your dashboard with these steps.
Then click the 3 dots in the top right corner of the widget to edit it.
Select a time frame such as 'this calendar year'
Under 'Show comparison data from the past' select YES
The widget will now show the average price for the current year and previous years.
β
How can I differentiate between the inspection fee itself/a stand-alone service and inspections with ancillary services in the metrics widgets?
While you can filter by specific services in the metrics widgets, there is no option to filter by ancillary services or add-ons.
We do have pre-built widgets for add-on revenue, service revenue, add-on breakdown, and service breakdown which can help.
