With the release of Service Categories companies on Advanced can apply categories to their services and/or Add-Ons to improve and simplify business reporting so you can know your business that much better!
Configuration
Access the configuration page by clicking the Service Categories button in the top right of the Services and Fees page to Add or Edit service categories
Add a new category by clicking the + Add Service Category button
Add a name and a description and click Save to see the new category in the list
When you first add a category it isn't applied to any Service or Add-On
Once back on the Services and Fees page you can now apply any of your categories to any of your Services and/or Add-Ons by selecting the category in the Service Category drop down
Using Service Categories
They allow for the grouping/categorization of certain services for ease of reporting - currently just via the Custom Data Export as a included Data Selection and/or Filter
We do plan to include these as options in Metrics and built in Reporting in the future for further ease of reporting
