What are Referral Sources?

A referral source is simply how a client discovered your amazing business and services. Some common referral sources include Google searches, satisfied customers, friendly neighbors, helpful real estate agents, and online searches.

How do Referral Sources Work?

During the scheduling of inspections, both Agents and Clients are prompted to indicate their referral source. This is what clients and agents will see and where referral sources are selected:

While they have the freedom to enter any response in the designated form, you have the option to limit the available referral source choices. By restricting these options, they will only be able to choose from the list you provide. In the following section, we will guide you through the process of restricting referral source options.

How to Restrict Referral Sources

Refer to the steps and instructional video provided below for guidance on modifying, personalizing, and limiting referral sources.

Please note: The placement of the referral sources will dictate the sequence in which they appear on the drop-down menu.

  1. From your dashboard, click "Settings."

  2. Under "Scheduling Tools," click "Scheduling Options."

  3. Click "Restrict Referral sources."

  4. Add your referral sources to the line that's labeled "Referral sources."

Please ensure that you use a comma to separate your answer options, such as Google, Real Estate Agent, Neighbor, etc.

FAQ

  • Can I make referral sources required during scheduling?

Unfortunately, no. We currently don't have the option to require referral sources to be inputted during scheduling.

  • How can I view the referral sources that have been inputted or selected during scheduling?

If you head over to your Dashboard and click on Metrics, you'll find a handy pie chart labeled "Referral Sources." This chart will give you a breakdown of the total number of times a specific source was entered.
