Match is in early access and currently invite-only. Access is being rolled out gradually to early adopters. If you haven't received an invitation yet, you can join the waitlist below. We'll add companies in waves over time. When you get added will depend on demand and product feedback.
As an inspector, you know best that you have many tasks to complete on-site during an inspection. You're not only inspecting the property, but also managing relationships, educating property buyers, and entering findings into the report.
Research shows that the data-entry part of the inspection takes up between 40% and 60% of the total inspection time. Inspectors have to find the right comments and spend a significant amount of time scrolling and searching.
Spectora's new tool allows inspectors to delegate data entry and focus on what matters! Early users are already saving 20% of time on site compared to their previous inspections with Spectora. We expect those savings to grow as the tool continues to improve.

Getting Started with Match
Getting Started with Match
Enable AI Assist (now Match) in Settings ✅
Once you've been invited, you'll need to turn on AI Assist before your first inspection. Go to the three bars in your V10 app → Settings → toggle Match on.
This setting can be turned on and off if you want to try it on certain jobs to start.
If you need to disable Match during an inspection, send any pending inputs for analysis first and approve or dismiss the returned comments before turning it off. Inputs that haven't been processed won't be accessible from the standard inspection interface once the setting is off.

In Toolbar Configuration

Understanding the bottom bar
Once Match in enabled, a new bottom bar will appear on your reports.
The bottom bar contains all the tools to add your findings before AI matches findings to your template.
Take photos, record audio, or add from gallery from one easy place.
Starting a Collection
Clicking any of these buttons will start what we call a "collection."
A collection is a group of your report findings including audio describing findings and all photos that need to be attached to the comments.
Many inspectors start a collection with taking photos of their findings before recording audio.
They will complete a segment of the inspection, taking photos as they go, before finding a good stopping place to record audio.
Options while taking photos:
Reduce future clicks while taking photos by recording audio as photos are taken.
Captioning photos as they are taken also helps to track location for future reference, and save clicks later in the process.
If you use an external camera for taking photos, click the icon on the right to add to the collection from the gallery.
Effectively Recording Findings via Audio
Tips for recording for the best results:
Speak clearly with limited background noise
You do not need to know your template word for word, but the closer you are to the titles, the better.
If there are multiple of a component like two water heaters, say which one the finding is for when you record.
"The second water heater is leaking"
All collections must have an audio file for Match to find the right comments in your template.
Audio does not need to be recorded in the moment.
Many inspectors will start by taking photos and wait to record audio til the right moment. They use the photos and record while previewing them to ensure nothing is missed.
If there is no chance to record audio while on site, it could be recorded at a later time while reviewing photos.
Places to Record Audio
Audio can be recorded in many spots that are not the main capture screen including in the camera and annotator.
See where these icons are below.
In addition to during the collection creation process, audio can also be added from the queue of AI inputs waiting for analysis.
Click the list icon with the sparkle on the top right corner to access the queue.
Tap the microphone by the collection to begin recording.
Clicking any photo will open the annotator where the recording will continue to run.
Step 6: Send For Comment Matching ✨
Auto-Analyze Enabled
There is a setting for auto-analysis that is enabled by default.
This means any collections saved to the queue with audio attached will be sent to the server to match as you go.
Auto-Analyze Disabled
If auto-analysis is disabled, inputs will manually need to be sent to be matched to the right comments.
To send, click the queue button in the top right corner > click Analyze.
Inspecting offline? No problem. Add all your inputs as normal and send them for analysis once you have a connection.
Step 7: Review and Approve Your Comment Matches 👀
Once AI processes your inputs, your matched comments will be ready for review. For each match, you can:
Approve it as-is
Edit it before approving
Assign a photo from the mini gallery of images associated with that audio entry
No comment enters the report until you approve it. Approved comments will appear in the section just like any other comment in your report.
Inspectors handle approval in different ways, some batch all inputs and approve at the end, others go section by section. Do whatever works best for your workflow!
FAQ
FAQ
How accurate is Match at pairing audio with the right comments?
Depending on the quality of the input, Match gets it right between 90-95% of the time.
On average, early testers have needed to make minor edits to 1 in 20 comments before approving.
Does Match automatically assign photos to comments?
Match only assigns comments and does not select photo.
Any photos added to a collection with an audio entry will show in a mini gallery and can be easily assigned to the right comment.
Automatic photo matching is in process as a hopeful improvement in the future.
How is Match trained?
Spectora user data has not been used to train Match. It uses established major AI models, optimized through improved prompting and other non-data tools.
Does this feature cost extra to use?
Match is free for all users during the early access period. It will eventually become a paid feature as AI capabilities carry additional costs for Spectora to run and develop.
