When report writing from your phone or tablet, it’s important to always use the Spectora mobile app, not the mobile web editor. The mobile web editor isn’t designed for constant on-the-go use, and even a quick loss of internet connection, switching to another browser tab, or navigating away from your report can cause your data to be lost. The app is built to save your work locally, so you can capture and keep all your report details, even without an internet connection.

Starting the Report in the App
When report writing, you want to ensure you're using the app and not the mobile web browser.
🔴 Using the mobile web browser can and will lead to data loss.
To start report writing in the app, simply click into the inspection then slide up on the reports bar and click "Start" on the report you want to write/edit.

Accessing and Leaving the Mobile Web
Going into the mobile web browser can be a helpful tool when you need to make specific inspection updates on the Inspection Details page, or on your Spectora account that needs to be done on a web browser. That being said, report writing should not be done on the mobile web browser as it can lead to data loss.
You can access the mobile web browser from the app by clicking the "+" symbol on the reports bar, or the wrench icon in the top right corner of the main inspection page.
You can also access it from the app Settings by clicking "Visit Spectora.com". Here you will receive a warning:
You can tell you're in the mobile web browser because you'll be taken to the Inspection Details page, and there will be a spectora.com URL at the top of the page.
To exit out of the mobile web browser, simply click the "X" button in the top left corner. This will take you back to the app.
