Spectora partners with Stripe to offer you Spectora Payments, a fully integrated payment processor experience with our software.

When setting up or managing your Stripe account for Spectora Payments, identity verification is a crucial step to ensure secure and compliant transactions. If Stripe is unable to verify your identity with the documents provided, this can pause your payouts until the issue is resolved. Common reasons include mismatched information or unclear documents, which may require you to resubmit or provide alternative identification.

In this article, we’ll cover the alerts that will appear on your Spectora dashboard if additional verification is needed by Stripe or if your payouts are paused.

Stripe Payouts at Risk

Occasionally, Stripe may require additional information to verify your account. This may include details like updated business or banking information to comply with regulatory requirements.

If additional information is required, you'll see a banner stating "Payouts at Risk" in your Alerts.

Payouts Paused

Typically, Stripe will give you a few days to submit the required information before they pause payouts. They often notify you in advance by email or through your Stripe dashboard, specifying what information is needed and the deadline to avoid payout delays. It’s best to update the requested details as soon as possible to ensure there’s no disruption to your payouts.

If the additional information is not submitted in time, your payouts will be paused. Once payouts are paused, you'll need to submit the information for Stripe to review before payouts can resume.

Payouts Paused - Under Review

Once you submit the additional information requested by Stripe, it will go through their review process to verify your account details. During this time, payouts will remain paused to ensure compliance and account security. Stripe typically processes these reviews promptly, and once approved, your payouts will resume automatically.

Identity Verification

If Stripe is unable to verify your identity with the additional documents provided, it could be due to mismatched information or insufficient clarity on the documents.

In such cases, your payments and payouts will remain paused. To resume, you'll need to contact our support team. Our internal fraud team will need to conduct a manual review of your account.

Unable to Verify Identity

If Stripe and our internal team are unable to verify your information, your payments and payouts will remain paused. You will not be able to accept payments through Spectora.
