If you have a Spectora built website, you need a hosting subscription to keep your site active on the internet.

Hosting is the storage of your website's text, photos, online scheduler, etc. This is primarily what you are paying for with a hosting subscription.

If you're thinking about having us build your website or thinking about cancelling if you're not doing a lot of inspections, read this first to see if keeping your site live is smart.

DIY vs. Managed Hosting Differences

DIY (Self Managed) Hosting

  • This is the minimum hosting you need to keep your site active. This covers our cost to maintain, secure and continue to serve your website to the public.
  • You have us as a point of contact for information or troubleshooting should something go wrong (this is not the case at most hosting providers like GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc.)
  • You are responsible for making your own website edits.

Managed Hosting (by Spectora)

  • We store, serve and maintain servers to keep your site active and running.
  • You have us as a point of contact for information or troubleshooting should something go wrong (this is not the case at most hosting providers like GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc.)
  • We make *most* routine web edits for you! This includes pricing changes, content updates, promotions you're running and the many other reasons you need web support.
